The AVU welcomes the creation of uniform requirements for a strong EU internal market and is actively involved in shaping the European dialog. There is a regular exchange with the EU institutions, think tanks and European trade associations. The association&#8217;s positions are also passed on to decision-makers and the specialists during public consultations and events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Projects currently supported by the AVU:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>New EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (&#8222;PPWR&#8220;)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>EU Circular Economy Act<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Legal framework for chemical recycling<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>European initiative for the use of digital watermarks in sorting facilities (HolyGrail 2.0)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AVU is an active member of the European packaging association <strong>EUROPEN<\/strong> and contributes the perspective and insights of the German packaging value chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.europen-packaging.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.agvu.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/grafik.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2796\"\/><\/a><\/figure>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The legal framework for packaging and the circular economy is increasingly being defined at EU level.
